NFL’s Washington DC “red skins” – Why Are So Many So Upset?

Why Are So Many So Upset about NFL’s Washington, D.C. “red skins”?

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (N.F.L.) RACIST RAMBLINGS:  “We are Redskins Nation and we owe it to our fans and coaches and players, past and present, to preserve that heritage. Our past isn’t just where we came from–it’s who we are.”  “Letter from Washington Redskins Owner Dan Snyder to Fans,” Washington Post, October 9, 2013

REALITY:  Conquerors write history, so, in grade school we were all forced to study horrific sketches of terrifying wild red beasts fanatically scalping terrified and innocent white women and children.

Massacre of the Whites by the Indians and Blacks in Florida. The caption reads: “The above is intended to represent the horrid Massacre of the Whites in Florida, in December 1835, and January, February, March and April 1836, when near Four Hundred (including women and children) fell victim to the barbarity of the Negroes and Indians.” (Courtesy of Library of Congress, Rare Book and Special Collections Division, LC-USZ62-366, and of WikiMedia).

In war, reasons for killing are always lies.  Since they originate and implement the ugliest possible tactics of murder; conquerors routinely accuse the conquered of utilizing such violence and immorality.

In the American Colonies, bloodthirsty savages lurking behind every tree were pagans and heathens; so they had to be killed, in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

This same religiosity well served the slave trade:  Disgusting and filthy African infidelshad to be hunted, captured, enslaved, shackled, and forever be bound by slavery.   It was all God’s will, righteous preachers assured us at the time, because the yoke of slavery exposed these pitiful negroes to the virtues of hard work and Christianity.

The Economics of Genocide

Each American Colonial government had its own system of compensation for pelts and skins, depending on whatever it believed most threatened its existence.

Wolf, lion or panther, and bear pelts paid fairly well.  However, excepting Pennsylvania, red skins were the most consistent income for bounty hunters.  Why, in Massachusetts, government-paid killers received 50 pounds for an adult male red skin, 25 pounds for an adult female red skin, and, get this, a full 20 pounds each for children’s red skins.  With no taut muscles, fleshing skin off a red baby was as easy as taking candy from a white one.

I MUST NOW STOP

Every First Nation, Alliance, Confederacy, Society, Tribe, Clan, Matriarchy, Patriarchy, age, or sex may have its own unique Protocols.  To Honor those with quite specific protocols concerning this issue that cuts hearts so painfully–I must now stop.  As a professional writer, I can only say the violations to mothers as they watched their babies being skinned alive were so extreme, they would make many vomit.

Economics Continued

Working to exhaustion, a taxpayer-funded murderer might get, at best, a half-dozen wolves, maybe three lions or panthers, and around two dozen bear pelts in a couple weeks.

However, with Colonists’ superior firepower, slaughtering Indians was an easier gig.  Killing a village could bring in three-to-five dozen red skins for a week’s pay.  If you partnered with other bounty hunters, you could annihilate even larger communities.  And, if your partners didn’t kill you after corpses were skinned (common for rookies naive enough to sleep not surrounded by dry twigs’ and leaves’ helping prevent throat-cutting); you’d be on easy street after delivering your animal pelts and animal red skins to local law enforcement officials.

Law Enforcement and Bureaucrats

Concerning animal red skins, American Colonial governments differed on body parts necessary for compensation.  Some Colonies demanded a significantly-sized red skin, in order to fully authenticate true kills.  That got complicated, time-consuming, and messy with increased kills; so many Colonial law enforcement officials switched to an easier scalp system for reimbursement.

What constituted a legitimate scalp, especially concerning babies, also differed between bureaucracies; so professional killers usually checked in with the magistrate to learn the local ropes, before continuing their genocide.

Even though most American Colonies converted to the new scalp currency, Colonial governments generally retained the familiar term “red skin” for bookkeeping purposes.

You Don’t Work – You Don’t Get Paid

Professional killers have to deliver the goods before they are paid.  In our country’s recent past, hired mercenaries in southeast Asia were paid by the number of human ears they brought to the U.S. Army in Vietnam or to the Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A.) in Laos or Cambodia.

Water buffalo kills didn’t pay as well, but at least helicopter gunners had lots of fun competing.

U.S.A.’s Tried-and-True ABCs for Starving Indigenous People to Death

Water buffaloes are southeast Asians’ tractors.  The U.S.A.’s wiping out water buffalo, then bombing and destroying the world’s most sophisticated 2,000-year-to-5,000-year-old water dike system fully eliminated Indigenous Southeast Asians’ food supplies, just as successfully as the United States’ extermination of American bison forced starvation upon all Great Plains Indigenous Americans.

The Army’s best helicopter gunners were identified and recruited by the C.I.A., a bottomless money pit.  Slaughtering non-U.S.A.-affiliated drug lords and their minions in Laos and Cambodia paid ten times better than gunning boring Vietnamese rice paddies and fleeing peasants.

And, praise Jesus, for after-the-hunt partying; “The Agency”  provided the world’s best heroin and opium to pilots, gunners, mechanics, grease monkeys, and hangers-on.  “The Agency”  then smuggled what was left into United States proper, utilizing its covertly-owned 80-airplane-fleet commercial airline known publicly as “Air America.”
